Lessons of the Hour at the 21c Museum Hotel in St Louis

As part of the group exhibition Revival: Digging into Yesterday, Planting Tomorrow, 21c Museum Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri is showing Isaac Julien's Lessons of the Hour - Frederick Douglass.

As Alice Gray Stites, Chief Curator and the Museum Director writes in her introduction, the artworks on view highlight and offer a deeper understanding of where we have come from, where we are, and where we are going. As Isaac Julien says, “these historical linkages to the present perhaps hold keys to the future.”
