The Leopard (Western Union: Small Boats) at De Renava Biennial
For the inaugural edition of Corsica's De Renava biennial, Isaac Julien's single-screen installation The Leopard (2007) is presented alongside works by Anish Kapoor, Kara Walker, Barry McGee and Rineke Dijkstra, amongst others.
In the extreme south of the Island of Corsica, at the heart of a Mediterranean natural reserve listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the De Renava International biennial celebrates the best of contemporary art and fosters meaningful reflections on its relevance in relation to its social, political and organic environment.
De Renava questions the interplay of Art, Architecture and Technology in the understanding of ourselves and their capacity to offer alternative visions for our Island, the Mediterranean and the world of tomorrow.
