Isaac Julien judges the Wallpaper* Design Awards 2021

Isaac Julien was selected as part of the judging pannel for the Wallpaper* Design Awards 2021. The invitation was an honour he answered positively to, in line with his love and always renewed interest for architecture and design.

Just over a year after the influential interview on his work A Marvellous Entaglement by Nick Compton which made the Wallpaper* cover in June 2019, you will find another collaboration between the magazine and Isaac Julien in the upcoming February Issue, which features an illustrated article focusing on Julien's work and the motivations behind his nomination as a jury member.

The Wallpaper* awards are not only an honour roll of outstanding places, products and people, but also a testament to design’s ability to respond to evolving needs, lift our spirits, and serve the public good. These qualities become particularly evident when unprecedented circumstances compel us to rethink our priorities and adjust our ways of living.
