Better Life at REDCAT
Isaac Julien and Mark Nash will introduce a screening of Better Life at REDCAT - a single-channel version of the 2010 nine-screen installation Ten Thousand Waves. Inspired by the drowning deaths of undocumented Chinese cockle pickers in Britains Morecambe Bay the work poetically weaves together stories linking China's ancient past and present. Through an architectural installation, the work explores the movement of people across countries and continents and meditates on unfinished journeys
