'Playtime' in Ruby City's inaugural programme
Ruby City’s inaugural programme will include an exhibition dedicated to Isaac Julien’s Playtime. On public view from 13 October 2019 (until 2020), Julien's immersive video installation addresses representations of global capital.
Projected by architect Sir David Adjaye, the newly built Ruby City includes a space dedicated to Julien’s work. During her lifetime, Pace was a dedicated supporter of Julien’s practice, acquiring more than 50 works for her permanent collection. Today, the Linda Pace Foundation maintains the largest holdings of the artist’s work worldwide.
